Past Continuous

We use the Past Continuous to talk about actions or situations that lasted for some time in the past

I was listening news

I was doing my work

The Past Continuous is often used when one action in progress is interrupted by another action in the past.

I was eating when the telephone rang

When I was travelling ,it started raining

We also use this tense to talk about two or more activities happening at the same

Remember that you can also express irritation over somebody or something in the past.

He was always coming late in the office.
